Born in Karlovac, Croatia in 1971. In 1986 she moved with her parents to Moscow. After finishing Television Journalism at Moscow State University, Tatjana enrolled in a documentary film course at the Higher School of Screenwriters and Directors in Moscow, where her lecturers were world known film names such as Nikita Mihalkov, Margarette Von Trotta, Schloendorf and others. In 1996 Tatjana successfully completed a diploma course at the London School of Economics entitled "International Dimensions of Human Rights" taught by Bernard Hamilton.


Her graduation film Provincial Girls (co-directed with Frank Muller) won the Grand Prix as the best Russian documentary film at the Documentary Film Festival in Ekatarinburg in 1996.

In 1998 Tatjana moved to Zagreb where she continues filmmaking with emphasis on human and civil rights.
