Born in Zagreb in 1973. Studies Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb and Film and TV Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb.

In 1995 Zrinka's book of poetry "Ustvari, dobro sam" (In fact, I Feel good) won First Prize in the main national writers' competition "Goranovo proljece".

Her student documentary Duel is one of the most successful Croatian student films ever and won major prizes at student film festivals in Munich and Tel Aviv as well as the Grand Prix at the Croatian Film Festival in Zagreb. Zrinka made Of Cows and Men, another successesful documentary, in co-direction with N. Slijepcevic as part of the activities of the Documentary Workshop of the Imaginary Academy.

Of Cows and Men was selected for IDFA 2000 and screened at numerous major documentary festivals worldwide.
