Born in 1974 in Poland. Magdalena studied Social Sciences and Journalism at the University of Silesia in Katowice. In 1995 she enrolled TV and Film Direction at the Radio and Television Department of the same University. Her lecturers included world famous film names as Krzystof Zanussi, Jerzy Duda-Gracz and Wojciech Marczewski.

With her first documentary The Girls of Szymanow, Magdalena wins several awards among which Third Prize at Polish short film festival in Krakow in 1998. In the same year she finishes film etude Awakening based on F. Dostojevski novel "Crime and Punishment".




Magdalena is author of several TV documentary serials for Polish TV. Besides directing, Magdalena works as film critic and writes poetry.
