Annika was born in 1971 in Helsinki. She
graduated from the Swedish School of Social Science at the University
of Helsinki in 1996.
From 1997-99 worked as a producer for a Youth
News Show at the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE). Her first
film The Neighbors Annika made in 2000 during Documentary
Workshop of the Imaginary Academy.
After finishing Master studies in documentary
film and dramaturgy at the Academy of Theatre, Film and Television
in Ljubljana (Slovenia), Annika returned to Finland to continue
filmmaking.
