Daniel was born in 1956. He graduated as Director pf Photography at the Academy of Dramatic Art and in Slavic Languages and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb.

Daniel has worked as a lecturer, journalist, cameraman, and television program editor and been DoP on several feature films and TV drama series. He spent a few years in India working as a Senior Producer for Southern Asia. He is the author of four TV documentary series and numerous documentaries dealing with current social and cultural issues of India and Pakistan.

Currently lives and works as a freelancer in Zagreb.
